LE FLORIAN : Lyon, 1920. Prohibition rages and inhabitants are looking for some fresh air in the old district of Lyon. The rebellious population organizes resistance with El Diplomatico and Maker’s Mary. Skirts are turning, spirits are at the forefront and follow jazz rhythms. Waiters bring astonishing cocktails.

TAKAO TAKANO : Far away from Mont Fuji, the samurai wishes to do as good as the best French weapons masters. There are no heavy table clothes nor candelabra, dishes are self-sufficient. Service is excellent and dishes marvelous. The venison loin with its laurel butter, date and kumquat chutney is simply divine. Takao Takano opens a new era in the gastronomy of Lyon.

LE GARET : We were wandering around Les Terreaux when we became hungry. We decided to go to Le Garet, a small “bouchon” (typical restaurant of Lyon) where we have our habits. As we love Lyon’s specialties, we are pleased : tripes and Macon wine, this is the place to uphold tradition, celebrate gastronomy and local expressions.
